July 2010 - Click for an addition in March 2013 and another for September 2013

Had a test flight tonight when the wind dropped  and on a Pboro 1 gram timer, single 90 mA lipo cell and Ian Middlemiss 's surplus stock red voodoo  style gearbox motor on 5x3 prop it almost flew away over the fence on a 2 second motor run !

I didn't really think that this motor gearbox was revving fast enough on the red pager  compared to my white depron Tom Tit model with a purchased Voodoo 25 from Atomic Workshop  but it is more than enough for this Bumble Bee at 45.5grams.

It is a real floater , nice and slow flight, going to be a real eye catcher indoors with a great glide.  Turns gently right on propeller torque with almost no right thrust at all.

Can't wait for a proper test flight at Ferry on Friday night!

Nats Hangar evenings 2013.

A depron Bumble bee plan built from the website plan by Steve Bennington of Kings Lynn MFC being flown by Zoe.
Power is a Voodoo 25 with 5x3" prop, single 200mA cell and Pboro 1gram Fet timer which he made himself from my drawings.
So nice when people do your stuff , it was lighter and flew even better than mine!
