This is an
outstanding sport model with excellent pitch stability.
It has flown in windspeeds greater than 12 mph and is
almost indestructible.
The author has a limited supply of laser cut 2mm depron
kits at £2 or hand drawn plans if you prefer (FOC).

This was given a
first trimming session
in October 2009 at Barkston with
satisfying results.
Considerably more effort is required to reach a competition ready layout.
The side mounted vertically adjustable fin has subsequently been replaced by a
more conventional design
as the prop wash was not found to be a major influence on turn and yaw performance.

A
good knock about free flight for Old Warden. Good pitch and yaw stability by virtue
of the generous side area. The glide is fairly appalling. This is a model which
does not need a DT.

I got fed up winding
rubber and setting up stooges so I converted my Sweet Pea to electric power.
The model flies on 750ma or 2.6Watts. Initial climb rate is not as good as
rubber but the P20_E
maintains its climb rate until motor cut off. There is little difference on
height gain between rubber and electric.
The electric model is some 3gms lighter than rubber.

This conversion was
inspired by the motor,
which is built into the spinner and incorporates mountings
for 5mm
powerful electric motor results in extreme trim sensitivity.
I have always broken it every time it has been flown. No two flights are ever the same.
