Friday, 19th January at Whittlsey Only about 8 brave souls made it through the snow, but it was a lively session with some radio flying and I got chance to do some experiments! I was timing my Frog Raven oven a 10 metre measured distance, gliding it from the stage to get an idea of it's flying speed and glide ratio. Somebody also managed to flat spin a Gyminnie Cricket, an interesting manoeuvre which I'd never seen before - especially as it recovered! I started trimming my latest Bostonian - the Boston Beagle. The radar absorbent black esaki covering was somewhat compromised by the addition of fluorescent green trim tabs. Click for a build thread on 'Hip Pocket Aeronautics' Jonathan Whitmore |
