The new agreement with Ferry Meadows is now in place. We can now fly at Coney Meadow all year round on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 1 o'clock until dusk and at the Thorpe Meadow site (floods and length of grass permitting) on Mondays and Wednesdays also from 1 o'clock until dusk. Please can I also remind you to to carry your BMFA & PMFC membership cards with you when you use the Ferry meadows facility. It is quite probable that the rangers will check up on anyone flying there and we don't want to get caught out.

Coney Meadows is in the main area of Ferry Meadows accessed via Ham Lane from the Oundle Road. Park in the main car park to the south of the field. For those of you using Sat Nav the postcode PE2 5UU will get you to the camp site close by the main entrance in Ham Lane.

Thorpe Meadows - see the Nene Park Trust map. The flying site, intended solely for control line flying, is a small triangle of green bounded on the south (ish) side by the rowing and canoeing course, the north side by Longthorpe parkway (A1179), and on the east by the Nene parkway (A 1260). Access to the area is via the car park marked at Orton Mere (it's actually at the end of Osler Lake), walking over the Nene valley railway and the foot bridge over the R. Nene, thence a right and under the Nene parkway, following the path around to the left, and the flying area is on your right. It's a good couple of hundred meters from the car park and worth having a set of wheels if you're hauling a lot of kit. Access to the car park is from the Oundle road. (A605)

Bushfield Sports Hall, PE2 5RQ The hall is booked for indoor flying several times during the Winter.

The current name of the sports hall is the "Vivacity Bushfield Leisure Centre". Best approached from Goldhay Way, turn in towards the shopping centre but follow the "Busway" to the back of the Leisure centre where there is plenty of parking. When a flying session has been booked the back door of the leisure centre is normally open so that modellers can get into the building easily.
